Media Executive and Social Entrepreneur,Abayomi Oke-Asiwaju, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Communications to the District Governor of Lions Clubs International, District 404B4, Lion Pharm. Debo Afolayan.
In a statement made available to the Press, District Governor Afolayan emphasized that Lion Asiwaju is expected to provide expert guidance on internal and external communications, media engagement, and strategic messaging for the district.
He noted that the appointment was a result of Oke-Asiwaju's vast experience, strategic acumen, and commitment to excellence, describing him as a dependable team player and visionary communicator.
Lion Asiwaju is no stranger to leadership within the Lions family. He served as District Chief of Protocol during the 2024/2025 Lions Service Year under DG Taiwo Fatoki and was previously Co-Chairperson, Marketing & Communications Committee under the leadership of Pioneer DG Samson Abodunrin.
A recipient of the Best Club President Award, he was recognized by the immediate past District Governor for his outstanding work in positioning his club, Ota Central Lions Club, for excellence despite being a newly chartered club.
Currently, he serves as Zone Chairperson for Zone 9B and is also a proud member of the International Publicity Team of Lions International.
With this appointment, Lion Yomi Oke-Asiwaju is poised to further elevate the visibility, voice, and vibrancy of District 404B4's communications.
